John T. Bell, CPA 

The President and founder of John T. Bell, CPA is John T. Bell.  John is a certified public accountant in both Texas and Alaska and actively practicing in Texas.  He graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho with a bachelor's in accountancy in December 2003.  John joined Mikunda, Cottrell & Co. in Anchorage, AK after graduating and began his career performing audits of private companies, cities, school districts and other not-for-profit organizations.  He grew to love the state during his travels and experienced first-hand the excitement of fishing.

In January of 2005, John and his wife moved to Texas where he joined Calvetti, Ferguson & Wagner, PC and continued his career in auditing.  He performed audits of private companies in a wide range of industries and also performed 401(k) audits.  John also performed Sarbanes-Oxley consulting for non-accelerated filers and became familiar with SEC reporting in the meantime.

After his time with Calvetti, Ferguson & Wagner, PC, John decided he needed to become more familiar with SEC reporting and joined LBB & Associates Ltd, LLP in July of 2007.  At LBB, John performed audits of private and public companies.  He become very familiar with the reporting requirements of public companies and public filings 10-K and 10-Q.

In January 2007, John decided he wanted to get involved in the tax and bookkeeping services.  At that time, John T. Bell, CPA was born.  John started mainly doing individual tax returns including returns requiring a schedule C.  He has done several amended tax returns of prior years being able to help his clients receive refunds on overpayments in prior years by finding missed credits and deductions.  John has also peformed several bookkeeping projects for different clients and consulting projects on accounting issues faced by his clients.  

John is a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

John has also traveled throughout the world on business.  In his travels he has been able to use his bilingual skills in Spanish while traveling to Mexico and Venezuela.
